“ My "New" 'Old' Favorite Asian Food! The food is consistent, good, reasonably priced, and the service is accommodating, and polite. SECTIONS BELOW: HISTORY, LOCATION, FOOD, SERVICE, LOCATION: This Restaurant, is physically located in Ponchatoula's Berryland Shopping Center, directly across the Street from and facing MacDonald's, and is next to Town Crier Spirits and Tobacco, L.A.Nails, and Fantastic Sam's, which are all around the corner from Anytime Fitness, Colortyme Rent-to-Own, and Rouses. When turning right or left into Berryland Shopping Center's entrance thclosest to the Building, you would make an immediate left, onto the side of the building that faces Pine Street. HISTORY+SERVICE: This Used to be my Favorite Chinese Food Take-Out Spot, back when it was called "China King", and I was a Patron of theirs for many, many years. It was a bit of a hole in the wall, you walked inside and about 20ft in front of you was a white counter, behind which was an open space containing two drink refrigerators, with the main kitchen on the right side all the way down to the back, with the stove tops, and cooking stations running along with wall. On the opposite left side of the drink refrigerators, housed their general storage area, etc., above where you stood at the counter, was the usual Chinese Take-Out Food Picture Menu, highlighting various common+some uncommon chinese entrees. With the Cash register and the Greeter/Order Taker/Wife, standing all the way at the wall on your right. There was no "real" seating, only a few (3-4) inexpensive steel tables along each wall, (they tried it once, adding the store space next door on their right, but I think it was just too much+the additional rental fees likely didn't turn out very feasible), but the tables weren't really made for "dining in", being not very comfortable, they were generally used by myself and other patron's as temporary seating, while awaiting picking-up our orders. Personally, I always liked the food they served, plus they were open to requests/adjustments either free or with a small fee, and overall service was very quick. The Family/Owners (Husband, Wife, and Son), were Asian and very sweet people, but I suppose after working so hard for so many years, the couple must have finally wanted a break or a change, as their son was finally grown up. Whatever the reason, on day, the restaurant was closed & then sold. Obviously it changed Management, and even food style, as the location now lists as Asian Fusion, hence, the name "Asian Fusion". FOOD: (Out of 5-Stars) QUALITY=5 QUANTITY/PORTION=4 (Depends upon Order, sometimes can lack Veg or Meat, but usually decent amounts) CONSISTENCY=4 (See Above Re:Qty) TASTE=5 (I haven't had anything 'bad' or even 'Not Good') This is a very good Asian food Restaurant for anyone even people who normally do not ear Chinese or Asian food. Even KETO Dieters should Love the way that this Asian Restaurant (as one type of order) and allows its Diners to select a MEAT/VEGGIE+VEGGIES+SAUCE in order to come up with their order. That is not including the multiple other types of entrees that they have available for ordering. They offer the standard types of appetizers often seen available from Chinese/Asian Restaurants (Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoons, Etc...), along with Soups (Their Hot+Sour Soup is pretty AWESOME, Especially, if You feel like dog doo at the time!) The portions available are generous when ordering Large's and are decent when ordering their daily lunch specials (I think they run from approximately 11am-2pm) There are enough types of entrees and Specialty Entrees to keep One's options open eating new food for a long time, and the quality of the food will keep you coming back, just to see what else you can try. ME=As you've likely picked up on above, I enjoy the simplicity of the Pick Your 'Meat/Veg'+Pick Your Veg+Pick Your Sauce=YUM!! So, I tend to order the same or similar meals, because I throughly enjoy them. I hope You will too when You chose to try this Asian Fusion Restaurant. ”
